Alright, I'm finally getting up the nerve to post about our new addition. I'm sure some of you will think oh how cute...congratulations, but anyone who knows us, knows that we don't have a very good track record with dogs. I'm not the most patient person in the world, so me and dogs don't mesh very well especially when it comes to training them and I'm usually the one that ends up doing all of it. I have enough problems raising my own kids and bringing a dog into the family doesn't make it any easier on me, but I decided that since I'm officially a stay at home mom and the kids are a little older and they can help out a little with him maybe we could do this . So I gave in, but on one condition that we would get a dog that I could stand which meant it had to be cute and fluffy and small nothing over 10 lbs!
So we found our dog and we went with a boy (even though I'm still outnumbered), I read that male dogs are a little easier to handle, not as independent as females and they don't have as much attitude as a female and Lord knows we don't need anymore attitude in this house. Our son has enough for everyone!
He is a shih tzu and we haven't quite decided on a name, we started out with Gizmo then went to Ozzie, but have started calling him Gizmo again. He's 10 wks old and so far doing really good, he sleeps in a crate and he seems to like it. He's pretty calm right now, even though I know that will change. The kids are already getting attached to him, I heard Drew singing a lullabye to him and Dylan gets up every morning and plays with him before school. He's even taking him out to go to the bathroom!
Anyway, I'm waiting on my phone call from my mom to gripe me out..but oh well it's done and we have a dog. I'm just hoping I have the patience to be a good owner and patience to handle my youngest child with him(he loves to carry him all the time)! Wish us luck!!!!!
Gizmo or Ozzie????

No training wheels!!!!
Drew finally started riding his bike today without training wheels. I've been trying to get him to ride without them for a while and he just wouldn't do it. Today he just hopped on it and took off. I guess kids will eventually do it when they feel they are ready. Yay for Drew! He is growing up so fast!!!!
Drew had kindergarten registration today..it's hard for me to believe that he is starting kindergarten this fall. Wow, it seems like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. Bring on the waterworks.

Dylan's first ballgame
The coach finally decided to put him at 1st base
Drew is so ready to play
The season has officially begun for Dylan, he started his tournament this past Saturday. They won their first game and Dylan got a really good hit. He played center field pretty much the whole game. The second game we ended up losing. Dylan got to play 1st base and did really well. He didn't get a hit in this game and he is at the end of the lineup so he doesn't get to hit that many times. I think once the coach sees that he is a good hitter hopefully they will move him up.(I'll keep my fingers crossed.)
We played again Tuesday night and Dylan ended up playing 1st base the entire game. He got three outs, which were thrown to him. He didn't miss one ball thrown to him. He was still at the end of the lineup, but he got the best hit on the team and it went to the fence. We won that game 6-3, so we play again tonight. Hopefully we will win!!!! We are so proud of Dylan, he is doing so good and can't wait for his next games.
Drew hasn't started yet, he starts the 30th. I will post pictures of him, I'm sure he will be alot funnier than Dylan. (He likes to dance in the field.) Right now he is playing 2nd base and is doing really good. I just hate it because he is playing in Fort Smith and Dylan plays in Van Buren. It's going to be an experience especially if they play on the same day(which they do the 30th). I hope it won't be that bad, but now I'm totally understanding what my parents went through when we were kids and they had four kids playing at different fields. Whew...it's crazy!! Gotta go for now.....will let ya'll know how tonight goes. Go Dylan and Go Bears!!!!!
